If you are new to Hemp Oil, there is a lot of misinformation out on the web... which makes it difficult to know where to turn.  This page will give you a high level education on your journey to understanding Hemp Oil & CBD.  


What is CBD?
Let's start with CBD.. since that's the buzz word flying around...From Wikipedia - "Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of 113 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants and accounts for up to 40% of the plant's extract. In 2018, clinical research on cannabidiol included preliminary studies of anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, and pain."  CBD is not psychoactive... it's cousin THC is. CBD is one of the cannabinoids in Full Spectrum Hemp Oil.  

Hemp & Marijuana?
Hemp and Marijuana come from the same family of plants, but they are different plants.  THC levels in Hemp are 0.3% or less.  Native Extractions does everything by the book and only has hemp.

Is this legal?
The 2014 Farm Bill took the position that states can regulate the production of hemp and, as a result, Full Spectrum Hemp Oil. In 2018, a new Farm Bill made it federally legal to grow hemp.

Full Spectrum vs Isolate vs Broad Spectrum?
CBD is just one Cannabinoid in hemp.  There may be over 100 cannabinoids.  Isolate is CBD by itself.  Full Spectrum Hemp Oil has CBD but with other cannabinoids while still maintaining less than 0.3% THC.  Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil has CBD and other cannabinoids but with zero THC.  

I get drug tested at work, will I pass?
If used correctly, you should pass a regular employer drug test because of the very low level of THC.  We advise you to understand your employers' test so you know if less than 0.3% THC will pass.  And ALWAYS read the Certificate of Analysis to understand what is in the product you put in/on your body.  If you can't easily find or see the COA, probably wise to stay away from that brand.

How do I read the bottle so I know what I'm getting?
A bottle might say 30ml / 750 mg.  30ml is the amount of liquid in the bottle.  750mg is the amount of CBD in the bottle.  A tincture typically is 1ml of liquid which equates to a CBD serving of approximately 25ml. (we advise you to check the size of your tincture).  On every bottle from Native Extractions, you have a QR code you can scan with your smartphone which will take you to our website to view the Certificate of Authenticity from the 3rd Party Independent lab.  It will tell you exactly what is in your bottle's batch. Our products also have the lot / batch number on them to be even more precise about what is in them.

There are a lot of brands out there... why should I trust Native Extractions?

How much should I take? 

Tinctures

Suggested Use
Shake well before use. Place under the tongue, hold for 60 seconds and then swallow.  You can also do a half a tincture 2x a day.  Works just the same.

Safety and Storage
Keep out of reach of children. Do not take if pregnant or lactating. Always consult a medical doctor before modifying your diet or using a new product. Store in a cool, dry and dark location

Dosage
Adults take 1mg per 2.2lbs of body weight per day. Please build up to this dosage. Please note: CBD does not have an FDA approved dosage size. Second, we are all a little bit different so we recommend to start with lower amounts and if you are not feeling an effect after 3-4 days then gradually increase. The human body should be producing 1 mg per kilogram of body weight naturally in our ECS (Endocannabinoid System) so 1 mg per 2.2lbs of body weight is what should get you back to homeostasis.
